Specialist Inspection & Structural Auditing

Structural auditing of critical subsurface assets with engineer-grade reporting.

Need a Specialist Inspection or Structural Auditing?

Ready to inspect your assets?

Gain a definitive understanding of your underground assets with our specialist manhole inspections and chamber surveys. We provide detailed visual, tactile, and 3D laser assessments for manholes, wet wells, and deep drainage chambers, ensuring you have precise data on structural health and network compliance.

Understanding the true condition of your vertical assets is critical for preventing ground collapse, infiltration, and costly network failures. Our qualified confined space engineers and survey teams analyse the physical fabric of your chambers—whether brick, concrete, or GRP—to deliver tailored, actionable WRC-compliant reports.

Trenchix prides itself on accessing and auditing deep or complex underground structures that standard survey teams cannot reach. Whether your asset requires confined space entry, is partially submerged, or sits beneath critical infrastructure, we deploy specialist access techniques and advanced technology to conduct comprehensive examinations.

3D Laser Profiling: We utilise state-of-the-art laser scanning technology to create millimetre-accurate digital twins of manholes and chambers. This allows us to measure structural deformation, precise depths, and volumetric data without requiring human entry.

Why Trenchix

Delivered with certainty

Accurate condition data

Calibrated equipment and experienced engineers give you data you can rely on for design and commercial decisions.

WRc-standard reporting

Defect coding to WRc/OS19x/OS20x standards, with clear engineer commentary and recommendations.

Programme-ready turnaround

Reports, drawings and video delivered fast enough to keep your programme moving.

How it works

From enquiry to evidence

01

Scope & mobilise

We agree the survey extent from your drawings or a site walkover, produce RAMS and book access — usually within days.

02

Capture on site

Certified engineers deploy HD crawler, push-rod or entry teams as the asset demands, working around live operations.

03

Code & interpret

Footage is coded to WRc standards and reviewed by senior engineers who interpret what the defects mean for your programme.

04

Report & recommend

You receive the coded report, drawings, video and costed recommendations — ready for design, commercial or adoption submissions.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How much does a commercial drainage survey cost?

Pricing depends on the length and accessibility of the network, but we quote fixed prices from clear scoping information — no day-rate surprises. Send us drawings or a site address and we'll return a fixed quotation, usually within one working day.

What standard are your reports produced to?

All condition surveys are coded to WRc standards (OS19x/OS20x) by certified engineers. Reports include defect coding, photographs, full video and clear engineering recommendations your design or commercial team can act on.

Can you survey live or trafficked assets?

Yes. Our teams are confined-space certified and experienced in working under permits on live infrastructure, including rail possessions, highways and operational commercial sites.

How quickly will we receive the report?

Standard turnaround is 3–5 working days from completion on site, with same-week delivery available for programme-critical work. Video and raw data can be shared on the day.

Do you survey for Section 104 sewer adoption?

Yes. We regularly support Section 102/104 adoption surveys with WRc-coded reporting and drawings formatted for water company submission requirements.

What camera systems do you use?

HD crawler cameras for main lines and push-rod systems for laterals, all calibrated and operated by certified engineers.
